Lexi Lewis is a dynamic media personality, celebrated journalist, and engaging radio host, best known for her KYBN Radio show “The Weekend Wind Down with Lexi Lewis.” A Cleveland, Ohio native now based in Tampa Bay, Lexi brings a vibrant mix of music, celebrity interviews, and positive energy to her listeners every Saturday from 3 PM to 6 PM EST.
With a passion for all genres of music, The Weekend Wind Down is a three-hour musical journey featuring everything from smooth jazz and R&B to country and classic rock. Lexi has had the privilege of interviewing legendary artists such as Robert Lamm (Chicago), Otis Williams (The Temptations), Scotty McCreery, Boys II Men, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Michael Bivins (New Edition), bringing fans closer to the stars they love.
Beyond the airwaves, Lexi is an accomplished celebrity journalist with over a decade of contributions to Smooth Jazz Magazine. Her insightful interviews have included icons like George Duke, Larry Carlton, Eddie Levert Sr. (The O’Jays), and Emmy Award-winning actor Obba Babatundé. Her writing even earned a personal thank-you letter from the late Tony Bennett, a testament to her talent and impact in entertainment journalism.
Lexi’s dynamic presence extends to live events, where she has hosted major music festivals, emceed awards shows (including the Chicago Music Awards and Black Women in Jazz & The Arts Awards), and inspired audiences of thousands.
A dedicated community advocate, Lexi supports music education through The Lexi Lewis Foundation, funding instrument repairs and donations for schools. She has also judged talent competitions, mentored students, and participated in cultural events like the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival.
Balancing her media career with her role as an IT Business Analyst, Lexi holds a Master’s in Computer Information Systems and over 30 years of corporate experience. Whether she’s interviewing music legends, motivating the next generation, or delivering the perfect weekend soundtrack, Lexi Lewis continues to inspire and entertain audiences worldwide.
